People have conveniently forgotten the mess we are in started from Wenger, Gazidis and the Kroenke's. Wenger said on Bein sport that his only goal for the start of every season was to qualify for the Champions League and that's it. No league hopes and absolutely no hope of winning the Champions league. Arsenal were already falling apart under his tenure, he's made so many howlers including the one thing he was good at; budgeting and signing cheap and effective player. We gave away expensive contract, let our best players essentially go for free, the moment we sold RVP to United our ambition as a football club was cemented in stone. I don't care for top four if we aren't competing, I don't care for Champions league if we are not making a genuine attempt to go for it, post 2010 none of that ever happened. I'm sick to death with the revisionism bull crap, Wenger was responsible for the clubs stagnation and the Board is responsible for the clubs decline. Am i, as a fan supposed to fawn over finishing top 4 every season with no aspirations beyond that. For years we were subjected to mediocrity, Arsenal my club, and the moment the wheels start to come off you have now fans screaming to bring back that same mediocrity. Shameless.

Arsenal haven’t been a force since 2004, even when they beat Utd in the Fa cup final in 2005 it was one of the most one sided finals you will ever see and it was clear they were a spent force. Wenger should’ve gone by 2010 at the latest instead Arsenal fans had over a decade of mediocrity. Not all of it was Wenger fault as he was hamstrung by finances but Arsenal have never been big spenders and Wengers record of big money signings is atrocious sadly he wasn’t even good at finding potential world class players from abroad which was his forte when he first joined.

With the players we have, bring back Arsene Wenger and we would seriously challenge for the top 4. Sometimes I look at the teams Arsene took to the champions league and I think that man was probably the best manager in the world because it was a miracle he achieved the things he did with those teams

No, he should have gone after the Hull FAC win. Instead the unambitious clueless board sat on their hands until they were forced to act. We could have had the pick of managers then, Klopp, Pep, Rodgers, instead we end up with Emery and Arteta.

We all knew at the time it was crazy what the fans was doing to Wenger. Pink floyds high hopes song comes to mind. “the grass was greener, the light was brighter, with friends surrounded, the nights of wonder. ............ looking beyond the embers of bridges glowing behind us, to a glimpse of how green it was on the other side, steps taken forward but sleepwalking back again, dragged by the force of some inner tide”
